I think it was pretty foul for them to fire him or even have the buzz to fire him less than an hour or so after the game. I believe in this league a lot of coaches are fired based on the performance of the team they coach. The crucial decisions that are made about whos the starting quarterback, whether to go for it on 4th and 1 or inches, whether to challenge a call, etc also have an effect. My first boss ever once told me that "you don't get fired, you fire yourself" As a fan of football, I know about Mike Singletary''s career and I think his job as a Defensive Specialist is a great fit but a head coach is a far reach. Its like being the VP of Marketing and then being promoted to CEO. Its been done before and most coaches do have to go through the ranks but if you don't understand the offense, I think you should stick to what you know. Mike Singletary doesn't understand the "O" and his QB carousel situation was evidence. I also believe that he wasn't the only person that should have been fired. I would fire most of the coaching staff or atleast the ones he brought on board with him. Mike should go back to the Ravens and be a defensive coach. Not that they need him but he left them for that job, maybe they would take him back. Anyway, atleast he tried and I can't knock him for that.
Mike Singletary Fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get In
