Over the past week I have read many an article and reader comments on the importance of the upcoming series with the Braves. I think most of it comes from the fact that the Mets trail them in the standings by 3 games as well as the fact that this is the last series before the break. Heading into the ASB tied for the lead would be in their eyes a great boost for the team. Getting swept would put the Mets 6 games back. However, the Mets are a very good team at home. They did lose their first series at home since early in the season. However, I have full confidence that we are a team that has playoff goals and that we will again rebound from our latest setback. Keep in mind that Beltran will be back in a week, Johan looks great and Omar is on the prowl for an addition. Good times are ahead... and stressful too. That's what makes being a Mets fan great.
