I'm so ready for some football! October puts a special smile on my face as I watch the men I love the most (hahahahahahahaha) play the game I love in their PINK!
This month you will get the special treat of seeing the following every Sunday:
- Game balls with pink ribbon decals.
- Players wearing pink cleats, wristbands, gloves, chin straps, sideline caps, helmet decals, eye shield decals, captains’ patches, sideline towels and quarterback towels
- Pink coins used for the coin toss
- Pink sideline caps for coaches and sideline personnel and pink ribbon pins for coaches and team executives
- Officials wearing caps with pink ribbons, pink wristbands and pins and using pink whistles
- On-field pink ribbon stencils and A Crucial Catch wall banners
- Pink goal-post padding in end zones
Last year, Bengals Chad Johnson faced a potential fine (as always) when he said he would wear pink shoes and gloves for the entire month of October, along with a pink chin strap and a pink mouthpiece. Ocho Cinco said he would match any fine he received giving the money to a breast cancer charity. (Oh how I love him!)
I'm so excited the NFL has decided to participate for the entire month instead of one week. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women. 40% of the leagues fans are women.
No matter how many women fans there are out there, I'm the head of them all! So on behalf of us all, THANKS to the NFL, it's players, coaches and yes, even the refs, for your support. It really makes the women that support you feel special! :)
*I guess I'll cut the Refs a break this month as a special thanks. MAYBE....*
