The decision heard around the world happened minutes ago. LeBron James will join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to make a super team in Miami.
I have lost a little respect for LeBron due to how he handled this free agency process. Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan wouldn't have made an hour long special on ESPN to tell the world where he will play.
It just shows that he can't carry a team to a title by himself. Now, when he goes to Miami he will have to take a backseat to Dwyane Wade. LeBron will have to get his scoring down to about 18 to 20 points per game to share the ball with Wade and Bosh.
If I had to compare this kind of betrayal to others, I would see a lot of things in common with Manny Ramirez leaving the Boston Red Sox for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ramirez and the Red Sox were favorites to win the World Series, but he just gave up. That's exactly how I see it with LeBron leaving Cleveland.
This team is now the New York Yankees of the NBA. Every team they face on the road they will get booed badly. I think if the Heat make the NBA Finals next year, I expect people to root against them if the Los Angeles Lakers were facing them.
This choice by LeBron James leaving Cleveland diminishes his legacy in my opinion. I had him in my top 25 even without a title. Now, I push him down about to 50. Leaving Cleveland and joining Miami shows he can't win a title. He had to go with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to carry the load off of him.
I thought if LeBron James would've stayed in Cleveland, I say he could've won at least two titles before he was done. I understand he wants to win right now, but will it happen right away next season?
I don't see LeBron and Miami winning a title for about two to three years. One thing though people are leaving out right away after this happened is chemistry on the basketball court.
One player will get angry during the season in Miami, I gurantee that. Either James, Bosh, or Wade will not get as much of the ball as they expected. That's why this could blow up right in front of them.
LeBron James is going to Miami, but he is now the most hated man in the NBA and the state of Ohio.
