Just got off the phone with a league source en route from NYC who confirmed that Albert Haynesworth is still very much on the trading block.
"Definitely"
The same source laughted when asked about Mike Shanahan's assertion that he wasn't being shopped.
"I took that to mean that they weren't beating down any doors to get rid of him, but there have definitely been conversations."
The same source claims the Redskins have expressed some interest in offensive tackle Jammal Brown and may be looking to acquire him in a deal with New Orleans. He also listed Tennessee, Detroit, and Tampa Bay as teams that he could confirm the Redskins had spoken with at some point in the process.
It was intimated to me earlier this morning that Patrick Robinson may have been selected at #32 more for the Redskins than for the Saints who have decent depth at cornerback and drafted Malcolm Jenkins in the first round last year.
It is unsure how Tennessee, Detroit, and Tampa would value Haynesworth now that they had drafted a defensive lineman, but the source wouldn't rule them out.
