Kyle Busch Parked From NASCAR Competition in Texas
Earlier this morning NASCAR announced that Kyle Busch has been parked for the Nationwide series race later today, and the Sprint Cup series race tomorrow afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway.
Busch is being parked as a result of a dangerous retaliation against Ron Hornaday early in last night's Camping World Truck series race. Busch was on the outside of Hornaday when they both went three-wide to go around a slower truck. Hornaday got loose under Busch and hit Busch, and sent them both up into the outside wall. Busch then sped up, hit Hornaday in the back bumper, and then hooked Hornaday head-on into the outside wall.
Hornaday was okay, but said his shoulder popped out of its socket and had to be popped back into place by a chiropractor.
Hornaday was still battling for the Truck series championship with two races to go before last night's incident. His hopes were effectively ended by Busch last night.
Busch is being replaced in the Nationwide series race by Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin. Michael McDowell will driver the number 18 M&Ms Toyota in the Sprint Cup Series race tomorrow.
