The Los Angeles Kings beat the Colarado Avalanche Saturday, but also lost Anze Kopitar due to a broken ankle. Kopitar was checked by defenseman Ryan O'Byrne and went down. This is a stunning loss for the Kings and a huge setback for the playoffs. Kopitar had 73 points in 75 games this season at almost a point per game pace. Tuesday's game against the Oilers will be the first game he will be missing (unless he amazingly recovers from his broken ankle in less than day) since the 2006-07 season. The past three seasons he has played all 82 games! Completely the opposite of Marian Gaborik.

The question is: Could Kopitar be gone for the entire playoffs? What a blow for the Kings that would be. And watching Kopitar grimacing in pain and laying down on the ice wasn't any easier either. I...
