The Knicks were embarrassed last night at the Garden by the Miami Heat 113-91 in the most anticipated Knick game in ten years. They were hanging with the mighty Heat at half time but then came the 3rd quarter. The Knicks could not hit a shot in the second half and LeBron James (32 pts, 11 rebounds and 10 assists) showed why he got the nickname "The King" as he just took over.
Miami outscored Amar'e Stoudemire (24 pts, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal but 2-7 from the line) and company 33-17 in 3rd. After the 3rd there was no purpose in playing the 4th because you are not coming back on a team as talented as Miami. There is no coming back especially when the Knicks missed ten free throws in total....good thing someone payed 50 grand for tickets to this game...money well spent? Yeah right.
Bottom line is the Knicks played well in the three big games this week winning one of them against Denver. The future is bright for this young team and the addition of one more dynamic scorer...cough cough Carmelo Anthony cough cough...will put this team over the top. This young Knicks team is no better then a number 6 seed but once your in the playoffs anything can happen.
