Okay, here we go! It's just about Friday evening on the lovely east coast and that means one thing. Knicks basketball tonight live from the garden against the Sacramento Kings at 7:30pm. The Kings are coming into tonight's game on a three game losing streak after beating up on Denver last week. What to expect toinght? Let's take a look.
The Knicks are playing at home for the first time in four games after ending their west coast trip at 2-2. The Knicks lost an up and down shooting barrage against the Utah Jazz just two nights ago and look to bounce back tonight. The one thing that concerns me with the Knicks however, is their inconsistency on the defensive end. Let's be honest, the Knicks are not known for playing top-notch defense, but in their win against Portland recently, the Knicks were very sound in their transisition defense. That is a huge component for the Knicks because it allows them to force quick turnovers and get on the offensive rather quickly.
Tyreke Evans is coming in on a bit of a tear having scored 27 and 29 points in two out of his last three games played. It has been rather evident that as Evans goes, so do the Kings so limiting his assets with tough on the ball defense should be a priority for the Knicker Bockers tonight.
It was also reported that Amar'e Stoudemire recently passed Kevin Garnett in the All-Star voting in the Eastern Conference. Good, great and grand dady, but staying focused on the task at hand, which is the Kings is the number one priority.
