Josh Freeman's time in Tampa is over: Glennon is the New Sheriff in Town
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made headlines this week as they not only benched Josh Freeman but put him as the third string in-active list. Making third-round rookie quarterback out of North Carolina State Mike Glennon.
The benching came after Freeman's poor performance over the past three weeks in which he had the worst quarterback rating of all starting quarterbacks.
Freeman feels as if his time in Tampa is done as he said a trade would be "probably be the best option". It's also said Bucs head coach Greg Schiano fell out of favor of Freeman saying "he doesn't give us the best option to win".
As Tampa Bay moves forward they are looking forward to start fresh with the rookie Glennon.
Glennon fits Tampa's offense more and will look to lead them to many wins. His first start as an NFL quarterback started off alright but they lost sadly to the Arizona Cardinals 13-10
The lost still makes Tampa Bay winless for the season at (0-4). Glennon went 24-43 with 149 passing yards, two INTs and one passing touchdown. The Glennon era has started in Tampa Bay watch for it and Freeman won't be apart of it as the Bucs will look for trade takers.
