The New York Yankees took care of one of their off-season priorities today, re-signing Manager Joe Girardi.  Bringing back Girardi was a no-brainer.

His new contract is four years at $16 million dollars.  I personally think four years is a bit much, however, in the end it was a smart move locking him in as manager.

Now whether or not Joe sees the contract out in full is yet to be seen, but he has definitely done a great job.  There may have been some questionable moves on his part, but he has done a great job since coming to the team as manager.

Girardi said in his press conference:

The off-season is just getting started stay tuned.
