Jim Schwartz built a defensive powerhouse in his days as the Titans defensive coordinator. In his final year at Tennessee, he led the Titans to a franchise best 13-3 record (the glory season)?
These days, he's the head man in Detroit. Last year, he led the Lions to their terrible record of 2-14 (better than last year, I guess).
So now, Schwartz is figuring maybe he should try to get some of those guys he used to have in Tennessee. After all, it's not like anyone is going to stop him (see our other article).
Schwartz wanted his old players back so bad, he was willing to show up at their house as soon as the free agency period began - and that's just what he did - The Tennessean reports Schwartz showed up at KVB's house just minutes after midnight, Thursday night (or Friday morning, depending on how you look at). Schwartz was somehow able to convince Vanden Bosch the Lions were "turning around", and after 26 mil was put on the table, KVB couldn't refuse.
Now there is news that the Lions are also contacting Keith Bulluck - yet another player Schwartz formerly worked it. Apparently, Schwartz sees something in these veteran players... something the Titans obviously aren't seeing.
