Jared DeVries Expected to be Back with Detroit Lions

Jared DeVries will be back with the Detroit Lions next season according to his agent, Mark Bartlestein of Priority Sports.
DeVries, who will be 34 in June, missed the 2009 season with a torn Achilles tendon. He was cut by the Lions on February 23, with the expressed desire to re-sign him.
DeVries received cursory interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was thought that his connection with Aaron Kampann and Brad Meester, fellow natives of Iowa Falls and high school teammates, would grease the tires to a deal.
