Is TJ Houshmandzadeh Returning to Cincinnati To Join Batman and Robin?

The last time the Bengals had a high powered offense it had a lot to do with their ability to pass the ball. A lot of people think that Chad Ochocinco was the best receiver for the Bengals, but TJ Houshmandzadeh was just as important.

Houshmandzadeh almost led the league in receptions in 2008 and yet the Bengals were to stubborn to give him a long term contract so they let him go to Seattle.

I was against this move from the beginning and knew the Bengals would suffer for it and they did. Last season was a horrible year for Palmer because he had limited reliable receivers which was their downfall against the Jets in two straight games.

Coming into the season they were dedicated to reviving an explosive offense adding Jermaine Gresham, Terrell Owens, and Jordan Shipley to the mix. So far in the preseason the first team has been very effective after starting off quietly in the Hall of Fame game.

Now that Houshmandzadeh is back on the market and Antonio Bryant was booted out of Cincy, I'd say its time to give Carson Palmer another weapon in the passing game. With TJ on this team the Bengals would be an offensive juggernaut.

There would be no doubt in my mind this would be the toughest team to beat with all the talent they already have and adding a guy that used to be Palmer's go to guy.

Houshmandzadeh is a tough and physical player that plays with a high intensity. He has a great pair of hands and made some phenomenal catches in his career at Cincinnati.

Chad Ochocinco has already said that he will be lobbying for his old teammate to come back and I'm sure Palmer will be too. Strangely this sounds familiar, because they did the same thing with Terrell Owens.

I look forward to seeing how this story develops and I have high hopes that Houshmandzadeh will once again wear the orange and black stripes and join Batman and Robin in Cincinnati.
