                                                                           Interview With Former Iowa Hawkeyes QB Chuck Long

Chuck Long is a former quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1981-1985. In his career, Long threw for 10,461 yards and 74 touchdowns. He compiled a 35-13-1 record as a starting quarterback and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. He finished second in the 1985 Heisman Trophy balloting behind Bo Jackson and was a consensus All-American selection in 1985. Long was one of the best college players in the game and led the Hawkeyes to 5 bowl appearances in his career. 

Long was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Long played with the Lions and the Los Angeles Rams in his pro career. Long coached for his alma mater (Iowa) until 1999 (quarterbacks coach). In 2000 he was hired by Oklahoma Bob Stoops and was instrumental in quarterback Josh Heupel's development in leading the Sooner to the 2000 National Championship. In 2001, the sooners promoted him to offensive coordinator, where he held the position until 2005. Long went on to become the head coach at San Diego State University from 2006-2008. 

Currently, Long is an analyst with the Big Ten Network. 

Corey Allen was a former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver from 1994-1997. He finished his career with 63 receptions for 908 yards with 14.4 yards per catch and 5 touchdowns.He has two of the most dramatic touchdown receptions in Bulldogs history in the late 90's. His historic touchdown catch in the 1996 Georgia vs. Auburn set the stage for the 1st SEC OT game. Georgia went on to defeat the Tigers in 4 OT's. His last second touchdown catch in 1997 in Atlanta sealed the victory for the 'Dawgs over their cross town rival the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
