Tomorrow night Northwestern looks to make basketball history by setting the all-time regular season win total when they host Penn State at Welsh-Ryan Arena. As I've mentioned many times before, this feat is not one to really do backflips about since it points to the painful lack of performance of a program that has endured the most trying 100+ years of college basketball in America. However, like a funeral of a well-liked, very old friend, I tend to think about this more as a celebration than a death of a futile record. We've got a lot to be thankful for as the program finally has at least identified the corner in which it must turn.
