Just one week ago I tempted to go "there" with this post the day of the Iowa game. "There" being where no Northwestern team had ever gone - the NCAA Tournament. In some pyschotic self-indulgent, over-inflated sense of control, I somehow have taken partial blame for what I still consider the most important 'Cats loss in their 104 seasons. Yes, I fear I created some type of LTP-Jinx. So today, we're going to focus strictly on the task at hand - Talor Battle and Penn State.The Nittany Lions enter Welsh-Ryan Arena winless in conference play (8-16, 0-12) yet, as this Steve Tucker article in today's S-Ts points out, Penn State has lost seven Big Ten games by a combined 10 points. As if we as fans need a "lesson" in taking teams lightly. The problem wasn't us, though, it was the listless team....
