The Blackhawks jerseys are hot sellers. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are in the top 5 while Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp join them in the top 20 of NHL jersey sales for the 2010-2011 season. The Hawks tie the Penguins as the only teams with 4 players in the top 20.
Toews comes in at #3 only behind Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin. Patrick Kane is right behind Toews at 4 while Marian Hossa comes in at 16 with Patrick Sharp at 19. I personally surprised by Hossa being ahead of Patrick Sharp and a little surprised he is on the list at all.
The rest of the list shapes out with only one member of the Stanley Cup champion Bruins, a pair of Redwings and Flyers and Ovechkin is joined by a teammate as well. Here is the list in order for those interested.
1. Crosby
2. Ovi
3. Toews
4. Kane
5. Malkin, Pittsburgh
6. Mike Richards, Flyers
7. Backstrom, Caps
8. Claude Giroux, Flyers
9. Ryan Miller, Sabres
10. Marc-Andre Fleury, Pens
11. Datsyuk
12. Zetterberg
13. Lundqvist, Rangers
14. Lucic, Bruins
15. Callahan, Rangers
16. Hossa
17. Letang, Pens
18. Brodeur
19. Sharpie
20. Joe Thornton, Sharks
Interesting that there are 4 goalies and only 1 defenseman on the list. 7 of the players are center leaving the other 8 as forwards. Maybe if Duncan Keith had a better year he could have made the list. I will admit I helped Toews cause by buying one for me and another for my wife this past year.
