Tyler Hasnbrough was starting today against the San Antonio Spurs at power forward. The Indiana Pacers needed offensive production from him. Hansbrough has only been averaging five points and three rebounds per game.
"Nobody is doing horribly. We're just not scoring, not getting to the foul line," O'Brien tells The Indianapolis Star. "I want to see how Tyler does from a starting job. I want to find out what my best combination is up front."
Hansbrough, in fact, did well to my surprise. Hansbrough played like the former North Carolina Tar Heel he was, putting up 23 points and twelve rebounds. However, the Pacers lost in a close one, 90-87. They drop to 14-19.
Recap coming up later tonight.
