The Big 12 is going to dissolve I think. Even though reports have it that most of the Big 12 schools will stay, they will eventually go to the Pac-10 before this season.
If the Big 12 does dissolve, the Big East will offer Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Missouri, and Baylor to join their conference.
It would make sense for all of those schools to join the Big East. They offer a great basketball conference and an upcoming football conference.
From the basketball side of it, the Big East would have the best basketball conference and would have 22 teams in the Big East Tournament.
Then, if you add Kansas they have one of the greatest basketball programs ever and could make the Big East even more dominant.
Also, the Big East would have 12 teams, which is an improvement from seven in football. It would be great for the Big East to have these four teams in football.
They would finally have a conference title game for football in the Big East.
The Big East will only invite these five schools if the Big 12 dissolves, remember that.
Even though the location of the five schools in Central United States, teams could travel from the east coast to their university in a few hours on a plane. Also, it makes the Big East even more recognizable around the United States if they add these four teams.
The Big 12 would have zero teams if this happened and would dissolve.
The Big East would be one of the best conferences in the NCAA along with the Pac-10, which will be the Pac-16.
Overall, this would be great for the Big East and the remaining Big 12 schools.
