Gator Bowl Injury Report: Easley out, Brantley "fine"
After injuring his left anterior cruciate ligament in the 21-7 loss to Florida State, sophomore defensive linemanDominique Easley will not suit up for Florida against Ohio State in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl.
Easley has recorded 37 tackles (17 solo) and 1.5 sacks for the Gators this season.
John Brantley is "fine"
UF head coach Will Muschamp told the media Sunday that redshirt senior quarterback John Brantley is "fine" after suffering a concussion late in the second quarter against FSU.
Brantley has 132 passes in 224 attempts for 1912 yards; he has thrown 10 touchdown tosses against six interceptions.
He missed the losses to LSU and Auburn after spraining his ankle late in the second quarter of Florida's 38-10 loss to Alabama.
Charlie Weis requires hip surgery
When speaking with the media Sunday, Muschamp said that offensive coordinator Charlie Weis would likely require hip surgery after the Gator Bowl.
Muschamp said that Weis is fine and the former Notre Dame head coach has already stated that he expects to call the plays in Gainesville again next season.
