IRVING, Texas -- The absence of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo from Monday’s practice is not cause for alarm, according to head coach Jason Garrett. “The idea was to give him the opportunity, in a light practice, to collect himself and take the day off,” Garrett said. The day off wasn’t necessarily due to the pounding that Romo took in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. He was sacked three times and hit another in his half of work during the loss, the first times that Romo has really been hit since undergoing back surgery in December to repair a herniated disk.via ESPN.com - NFL Nation http://ift.tt/1p9PTY4
