This year's New York Jets defense looks to be a dominant one. Could this defense be the best ever? Well, they have the talent all they need to do is prove it.
The Jets added Jason Taylor and Antonio Cromartie this off-season. Also, a healthy Kris Jenkins is back at nose tackle. Cromartie with Darrelle Revis should be one of the best cornerback tandems ever.
Jason Taylor is old, but can still be a great outside linebacker or you can put him as a defensive end. Taylor and Cromartie will start for the Jets, they should anyway.
When you add Rex Ryan, a great defensive coach. This Jets defense will be great. Rex Ryan has swagger like no other coach has in the NFL.
This 2010 Jets defense is going to be special and maybe the best ever. Do they compare to the 1985 Chicago Bears defense? I don't think anyone will be better then the 1985 Bears defense, but they have a lot in common.
They both have a great coach, a big defensive tackle, and great blitzing linebackers. The one difference that sets the 2010 Jets defense apart form anyone is thier secondary. The Jets secondary includes a great corner tandem of Revis and Cromartie. I expect no one to dominate against the Jets defense in the passing game this year.
When you add all of those factors into the 2010 Jets defense, it looks like it could be the best defense the NFL will ever see. All the Jets have to do is prove it.
