South Carolina is hoping for some good news this Friday when 2014 recruit, Donell Stanley, announces his commitment at his high school at 1:00 p.m.

Stanley, a four-star recruit on the network, will choose between South Carolina, Alabama, Clemson and North Carolina.

While there are a few heavyweights in his finalist list, this one seems to be all South Carolina at this point. Stanley has long been considered a Gamecock lean and the Crystal Ball has a 100% prediction percentage in favor of the Gamecocks. He's visited the Gamecocks multiple times and has been around the program a lot in the past several months. The South Carolina offensive line continues to get better and better and Stanley would be a perfect fit to move into the role of guard at the next level.

With guys like Ronald Patrick, a senior, and AJ Cann, a junior, getting closer and closer to exhausting their eligibility, it's a chance for Stanley to come in and learn behind some veteran players but possibly see the field early as a Gamecock in a few seasons, if he commits to South Carolina.

Stanley also fits what South Carolina seems to be all about and that's quality individuals. Stanley is always looking out for his teammates and was hoping to use his high-level recruiting to increase opportunities for his teammates to draw some interest from other schools coming in to see him. He's a smart young man with a great mindset and great set of manners behind him. He's the perfect student-athlete and would be a great fit at South Carolina.

This would be a huge pickup for the Gamecocks and the first commitment since August when receiver Terry Googer pledged for South Carolina.

If Stanley commits, he'll be the 13th commitment for South Carolina.
