Late last month, I had a chance to see Reds pitching prospect and Team World Member Kyle Lotzkar pitch for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos against the Chattanooga Lookouts.  While he struck out 7 in 5 innings of work, Lotzkar ended up walking 4, allowing 5 hits and giving up 4 runs, all earned, in a Blue Wahoo’s win.  His performance was as even uglier than the line suggests.  He lost velocity throughout the game, he had no confidence in his changeup and I’m pretty sure the way he whips his arm in his motion isn’t doing his shoulder any favors.
