Just a few years ago, the New York Giants won Super Bowl 42 over the undefeated New England Patriots. Now, they are battling to not be in the cellar of the NFC East.
The Giants in 2009 were very unpredictable. They started off as one of the best teams in the NFC, but they were facing one of the easiest schedules at that point.
Then, they ran into the New Orleans Saints, that started a bad domino effect for the Giants the rest of the season.
Now we get to the 2010 season for the Giants. They are expected to finish last in the NFC East and possibly a top 10 or 5 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
I don't expect the Giants to be a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft, but they will finish last in the NFC East.
Eli Manning will not do great at all in 2010. He does not have any big talents around him at wideout to make this a breakout year for the Giants' passing attack.
Then, we get to the running game of New York. Brandon Jacobs is running out of gas and I think Ahmad Bradshaw will eventually take over the starting running back spot over.
The Giants defense added Jason Pierre-Paul and Antrel Rolle in free agency, but that won't help much this season. Thier defense will be the same as last season, they will allow a lot of points.
New York has a tough schedule to look forward to this season. They face Indianapolis, Houston, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Green Bay all in one season. That doesn't sound good for the New York Giants to prepare for.
Analyzing thier schedule, I expect the New York Giants to finish 5-11 next season.
Looks like it won't be fun times at the Giants Stadium next season.
