Former Youngstown, Ohio native pens book about golf legend Ben Hogan...
By Brad VanFossan
Former Vienna, Ohio native and Mathews High School graduate and now author, Tim Scott is proud to announce that his book, Ben Hogan : The Myths Every One Knew, The Man No One Knew has been published by Medina, Ohio publisher BlueSky Publishing Partners and available for purchase.
After moving from the valley, Scott worked at the Ben Hogan Company in Fort Worth, Texas, for thirteen years. During his eight years as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Scott worked closely with Hogan. It was this valuable experience that allowed Scott to paint the true picture of Ben Hogan, the man on and off the golf course, while also offering first hand glimpses into the championship golfer’s drive to be the best.
Within the pages of this book, Scott takes readers on a fantastic journey as they learn about the non-public Ben Hogan as seen by his family, friends, fellow professional golfers, and employees. It gives you true behind the scenes interactions never before told by any members of the media. Readers will view a totally different, private side of Ben Hogan, and may very possibly experience a 180 degree turnaround in their view of the man..
The book is not only enjoyable for the hardcore golf fan, but even the casual reader will find this story of Hogan to be an inspirational one. Ben Hogan was arguably one of the best golfers of all time, if not the best, coming from a very difficult childhood and struggling in his early years to even survive on the pro tour, to then amassing 64 wins in his career, including nine major championships (some say he won 10 majors). The book is also dynamic in that it has been twenty years in the making, and features not only stories of Hogan never told before, but also never before published photos. Tim Scott does the valley proud with his effort and finished product, Ben Hogan: The Myths Every One Knew, The Man No One Knew which is available at www.TimScottAuthor.com
