The Philadelphia Flyers and Jeff Carter have agreed to a blockbuster 11-year, $58 million contract. His cap hit will be a little over $5.27 million per year.

2011-12 ― $6M
2012-13 ― $6.25M
2013-14 ― $6.5M
2014-15 ― $6.75M
2015-16 ― $7M
2016-17 ― $7M
2017-18 ― $6.5M
2018-19 ― $5M
2019-20 ― $3M
2020-21 ― $2M
2021-22 ― $2M
Remember, the numbers above are the player’s salary. Salary is different than the cap hit which remains constant throughout the contract.
According to Capgeek, the contract contains a full NTC (no trade clause) for the 2012-13 through the 2014-15 seasons. He has a modified NTC through the remainder of the contract.
Jeff Carter was drafted 11th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has 153 goals and 138 assists for a total of 291 regular season points with the Orange and Black. He is also a +27.
Carter will be playing in his 398th regular season game as a Flyer tonight against the Panthers.
