Floyd Miley Talks About State Of Tennessee Volunteers Entering Off-Week
Listen to host Joe Lisi and former Tennessee Volunteer defensive back Floyd Miley as they discuss the Tennessee Volunteers off-week after losing at home in Knoxville to the #7 Auburn Tigers 55-23 last Saturday. Floyd and Joe discuss the current state of the Tennessee program and their upcoming game next Saturday against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Floyd Miley was a former defensive back from 1988-1991. In his career he had 67 career tackles, 5 interceptions and 3 sacks. He is the only player in college football history to return a field goal block and extra point block for scores.
He is most known for his 85 touchdown return off of a field goal block by Daryl Hardy in the 1991 Notre Dame game. Miley's return sparked a Volunteer comeback in South Bend. Led by Miley's return in the second quarter, the Volunteers overcame a 31-7 deficit to defeat the top ranked Fighting Irish 35-34.
Miley has written a book called "Recognize Your Greatness" which discusses overcoming obstacles in a person's life.Floyd's platform has been to empower, encourage and inspire people to discuss their unique performance and inherit greatness.
