For the first time since 2005, the Bobcats have won their season opener, a 4-1 decision over Lehigh.  Katilyn Notarianni led the way for the Bobcats, recording a hat trick, while Kristen Engelke added a goal and two assists.

The Bobcats fell behind early but Notarianni tied it just before the half and then came out firing in the second half.  She scored the quickest goals in Quinnipiac history, just 24 seconds apart, to start the second.

From there the Bobcats cruised.  Engelke put the game away with a goal with just under three minutes left.  Jess Rusin picked up her first career point with the assist on the goal.

The Bobcats return to action when they face Boston College Sept. 3 at home.
