The Bobcats home opener didn’t go the way they wanted Friday afternoon as they fell to Boston College 5-1. The Bobcats (1-1) played the Eagles evenly throughout the first half, but the Eagles tok over and sealed the win in the second half.
The Bobcats fell behind early but Nicole Serrante’s first career goal tied the game. Serrante scored on a penalty shot after she was fouled going towards goal. The Eagles took the lead for good before half and went in with a 3-1 lead.
The Eagles scored their fourth goal just under a minute into the second half and sealed the win with their fifth goal.
The Bobcats return to action on Sept. 5 when they travel to Yale.
