Earlier tonight, I had the extreme pleasure of joining the panel of the Fantasy Sideline Show. Host Dennis Farrell invited me on with the promise that I'd get to talk to Lex Luger. For a wrestling writer, that's a pretty heavy promise.
Now, I didn't just do it for that reason. I'm a sports nut as well as a wrestling nut, so the chance to talk sports on the radio was something I would never pass up. Not only that, the guys on the show were fantastic and welcomed me with open arms. From the get-go, I knew it would be a great time.
We started out with a call from Cowboys tight end Martin Rucker (formerly of the University of Missouri) to talk about the natural disaster that hit the state of Missouri. Quite a moving call to start the show and as you listen, please consider helping the cause.
This did not define the rest of the show though, as it got light and humorous fast. We discussed mostly fantasy baseball for the first hour with Dennis calling out Grady Sizemore thrown in there somewhere. Of course, once the 9 o'clock hour started approaching, the focus shifted towards getting Lex on the line. Wait until you hear his ringer music!
Anyway, it's a great interview at almost an hour in length as Lex was quite a sport with us! He talked a lot about anything from wrestling to the Buffalo Sabres (his favorite team being from Buffalo). I hope you enjoy the show and look for the first official wrestling show next week as me and Dennis embark upon a new project that should be full of awesomeness!
Thanks again to MPH and FanVsFan as well as the guys at the Fantasy Sideline Show for an awesome night and of course thanks to Martin Rucker and Lex Luger for calling in. I couldn't ask for more from my first co-hosting gig and if this is a sign of what's to come, color me excited!
