The Bobcats have released the schedules of several fall sports.  The 2010 schedules for soccer, field hockey, volleyball and cross country have all released their schedules.

After falling in the NEC Championship, the men’s soccer team will look to repeat their success and improve on it.  Boston College, who ended last season ranked No. 15, highlight the Bobcats the nonconference schedule.  The other nonconference opponents include Yale, Iona, and a trip to Loyola.  The Bobcats conference schedule starts with a bang when they host defending NEC champion Monmouth.  The season concludes with the Bobcats hosting rival Central Connecticut State University.

Women’s soccer hosts nonconference foes Siena, Dartmouth, and Rhode Island before starting their conference schedule by hosting rival Central Connecticut State University.  The Bobcats take a break from their conference schedule to host Harvard on Oct. 25.  The season finishes with Fairleigh Dickinson coming to Hamden.

Field hockey looks to build on their success in conference that saw them reach the NEC Playoffs.  Their nonconference schedule is highlighted by a visit from Boston College, which ended last season ranked No. 9.  The Bobcats open their home conference schedule against reigning NEC regular season champion Rider.  The regular season concludes with a visit from Siena.

Volleyball begins the season with four tournaments before conference play begins.  The Bobcats will participate in the Boston Classic II, the Yale Invitational, the Lafayette Invitational, and host the QU Invitational.  Conference play begins with a trip to Rhode Island to face Bryant.  The season ends with Central Connecticut State University coming to Hamden.

Cross country looks to continue the success they have had in recent years.  The men will look to take the championship back after Central Connecticut took it home last year.  The women aim to win their sixth straight NEC Championship.  Both teams open the season by traveling to Stony Brook to participate in the Seawolves Invitational.  The Bobcats host the Quinnipiac Invitational for their third race of the year.  The season ends with the NEC Championships, hosted by Central Connecticut.
