The Big 12 is getting hijacked by the Pac-10. 6 teams from the Big 12 are close to moving to the Pac-10. Those teams are Colorado, Texas Tech, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
I think they will eventually go to the Pac-10. If this does happens how will the Pac-10 look? Well, let's examine the possible Pac-10 East and West.
The Pac-10 West would be USC, Oregon, Oregon State, California, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, and Washington State. That would be most of the original Pac-10. Only Arizona and Arizona State would be in the Pac-10 East.
Who would come out on top of the Pac-10 West? Since USC is under probation from bowl games until 2012, this part of the Pac-10 could be very close in records for awhile.
Remember, If this were to happen it wouldn't happen until after this upcoming season.
Now, let's go to the proposed Pac-10 East. It would be most of the Big 12 South, Arizona State, and Arizona.
The reason that Arizona and Arizona State would move to the Pac-10 East would be their location. Both are close to most of the Big 12 South schools.
I think the Pac-10 East would be the better side of the Pac-10 due to the talent of Texas and Oklahoma.
Who would win the Pac-10 East? I think Texas would win the East most of the time.
The reason is they have beaten almost every single team in the proposed Pac-10 East.
Colorado was the first Big 12 school to jump to the Pac-10, I think it is going to start a domino effect in the Big 12 South.
If this does happen, the Pac-10 would be renamed the Pac-16 and they would be the best college conference in the NCAA.
So, don't be surprised if this actually happens very soon.
