I've done a lot of Chris Jericho lately. From his book signing to the announcement that he'll be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, the guy has kept me busy! I thought I was done with him after writing the dancing piece (which still has me uneasy!), but I came across this video that I think you all should watch.
The important part to watch here is between the 7 and 9 minute mark. Jericho talks about being a heel and how he acts near the arena. I hope that parents see this clip, because it's important for them to understand the mentality of a wrestlers.
The main point is that Jericho believes in his character and around the arena, you want the fans to hate you if you are a bad guy. Thus, if you see him near the arena, don't judge him for snubbing you. I can attest to the fact that he's a good guy outside of that realm, but the wrestling business has you playing a character within its realm. I hope this video explains some things to people.
