If you were sitting around your house between the hours of 9pm and 11pm on Monday evening, don't worry if you heard sounds similar to that of an explosion. It was just Chris Forsberg from ESPN Boston dropping bombs of knowledge and insight on The Celtics Late Night Show, and all of our loyal listeners.
Chris joined Nick and Brandon for over an hour to help breakdown his recent Celtics Summer Forecast on ESPN Boston, as well as give his take on a few things outside of the forecast. The trio of geniuses Forsberg gave his take on Marquis Daniels' expectations for the upcoming season, the possibility of a deadline move, and much more. Most importantly, we even tackled the big question regarding when Chris is going to get a new mugshot for his Twitter page, as well as ESPN Boston.
All jokes aside, Chris was once again a pleasure to speak with and we look forward to having him on the show again soon. Aside from all the knowledge bombs being dropped by Chris, we also had a few festivities of our own planned. This weekend the CLNS gang put together two different compilationsfor our listeners enjoyment. The first - a quick four minute tribute to the birthday boy, The Scotsman, with the "Best of The Scottish Torture Chamber". The second - another five minute compilation of our best call-ins of the 2009-2010 season.
Early in the show, Nick also tried to be cocky and test his historical Celtics knowledge. After breezing through the first nine questions relatively easy, Nick failed on what I would consider the easiest question: Who did Delonte West get traded for? The easy answer: Ray Allen and the draft rights to Glen Davis. Nick got cocky and quickly replied, "KG, I win, I win." Ummm... Sorry Nick, but you lost. As part of the deal, Nick had to give away a $25 gift card to the NBA Store. Our friend the Scotsman was the first person to answer correctly, and instead of keeping the prize, he choose to donate it to charity. Upon word of this, the three of us decided to donate the money to Paul Pierce's Truth Foundation.
All in all, this was an action packed show and we would like to thank all that were involved. That includes the listeners, the callers, and our special guest for the night... Chris Forsberg.
