The Eskimos were back at practice again on Wednesday with a new face as the team brought in import kicker/punter Swayze Waters. Waters, who has previously been in camps for the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions is ready to show what he can do in Edmonton and has been busy learning the Canadian game.

With another kicker on the club, it now makes things very interesting with Waters, Burke Dales, Grant Shaw and Derek Schiavone on the roster. Shaw, said that he's not too worried and that the extra competition can be a good thing for everyone.

Coach Kavis Reed in his daily scrum, praised WR Nate Cooehorn for his maturity for being on the sidelines for most of 2011 as a rookie and wanting to learn as he has impressed many during training camp this year and will be starting.

Reed also praised veteran fullback Mathieu Bertrand for being a leader and taking the younger fullbacks under his guidance which will be important for many seasons to come as Bertrand has a Grey Cup ring to his name and is one of the most respected men in the CFL.

Edmonton also recently signed linebacker Clint Kent who was cut from Winnipeg. Reed described Kent as a "versatile Linebacker who will be a plug and play guy and will get a lot of reps".

The Eskimos kick off the 2012 regular season on June 30th at home vs Toronto. (finished preseason with 0-2 record losses to both Calgary and BC)
