Its a game that can stop the jokes for the Eskimos, at least for a little while. Tonight Edmonton takes on the Toronto Argonauts at home at 8PM mountain/10 eastern (that's right I added eastern time too becuase I'm in Toronto right now dont like it? Too bad complain to my imaginary assistant Chuck). The Esks take on an offense that is at the bottom of the barrel of nearly all offensive stats but QB Cleo Lemon and company have been able to lead Toronto to a surprising 3-2 start to the season. The Esks will need to contain Lemon early and often, he can scramble at any time which makes up for the fact he dosent have the greatest arm in the league.
Last week, the Esks were able to take care of business in the 4th quarter with their 28-25 win over BC thanks to defensive player of the week DB Chris Thompson who had 2 interceptions in the win. The Esks secondary is starting to get into a groove and with Lemon not having the greatest arm look for the Esks to get at least 2 or 3 INTs tonight. Ricky Ray and the rest of the Esks receving core are finally hooking up consistanly but Ricky needs to throw the ball away more often instead of getting off a pass that he knows the minute its out of his hands its going to be picked off.
Prediction: The Esks move to 2-4 with a 28-12 win tonight on 70s night.
