Eric Yorke would battle hard in the 25 lap Mini Stock feature to finish fifth.
Yorke started off the night by winning his first heat just ahead of Ken Townsend, and just barely losing the second heat to Townsend.
Come feature time, Yorke started 11th and began to quickly move his way to the front, moving into sixth on lap two. He then made his way by Terry Woodley on lap three, and battled with Steve Belanger for fourth on lap four. Yorke cleared Belanger on lap five, battling with Shawn Gerrior for third. Yorke then got by Gerrior on lap six, battling with Brian Love for second. The battle with Love became a three-wide battle with Warren Paxton on lap seven, with Paxton slipping into second on lap eight with Yorke right behind him. Yorke ran third behind Townsend and Paxton till the first caution flew at lap 10 for Samantha Shaw going around.
On the restart, Yorke battled with Billy Melenhorst for third, with Melenhorst slipping by on lap 11 before the second caution for Shaw hitting the outside backstretch wall.
On the restart, Yorke battled with Townsend for third, unable to get by. Myles Tyson then got alongside Yorke for the fourth position and the pair ran side-by-side till the third caution at lap 15 for Brandon Passer and Chris Free getting together. Scoring would have Yorke restarting in the fifth position.
For the remainder of the feature, Yorke ran solidly in fifth to bring home a solid top five finish.
Currently, Yorke sits third in points, two points out of second.
