Eden Hazard has expressed an interest in signing with Chelsea FC. The Blues responded by announcing their interest.
It is hoped that Chelsea could sign him in the summer. The offer would be 25 Million Euros.
The story was published in the French Sports Magazine L'Equipe and elicited an angry response from Lile and its director general Frederic Paquet.
Mr. Pacquet has said that this is "not the way business is done". He added that while many European Clubs have an interest in Hazard (within the last three years), Lille has long term projects for him.
Pacquet made this statement as a way of clarifying the intentions of Lille towards Hazard.
Hazard on the other hand has been the center of attention of Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.
Hazard has not made any statement to what is happening. He wants stated his desire to spend the rest of his football career in Arsenal or Real Madrid after leaving Lille.
