The Miami Dolphins today signed the remaining two unsigned draft picks that they had left from their 2010 draft class.
1st and 2nd round picks Jared Odrick and Koa Misi were finally signed under contract today, as Dolphins training camp starts this weekend.
Odrick's deal will be worth a maximum of $13 million, with $7.133 guaranteed. The contract will play out over the course of five years.
Odrick will be competing for the starting right defensive end position this year come training camp time, along with veterans Marques Douglas and Charles Grant.
Fellow rookie and 2nd round pick Koa Misi, slated to be an outside linebacker this year, signed his deal shortly after Odrick's was a done deal.
Misi's deal is a four year deal worth roughly $4.75 million, with $2.7 million in guaranteed money.
Misi is expected to compete for the starting strong-side outside linebacker spot during training camp.
Getting both of these deals done before training camp was crucial to the team because of the fact that both rookies will be competing for starting jobs and providing competition for the veterans.
Camp is just around the corner, and now that the team has all of their rookies under contract, this is yet another year under the Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland regime where there are no rookie holdouts going into training camp.
