Dolphins Cut Smith, Nalbone

The Miami Dolphins have announced today that they have waived primary special teams man and former Pro-Bowler Clifton Smith, and backup tight end John Nalbone.
This leaves a hole at kick returner, and punt returner, with Davone Bess expected to take care of punt returning duties, and Patrick Cobbs and Nolan Carroll duking it out for the kick return job.
To fill the void as the backup tight end, Miami has signed 6'5 256 pound tight end Jeron Mastrud, who is considered an all-around developmental package.
The team has one more spot to fill, and the Sun-Sentinel's Mike Berardino suggests that perhaps that some Adalius Thomas coming to Miami rumors are about to be upon us.
