Does Jermaine O'Neal Make Boston Celtics Better?

Jermaine O'Neal has signed with the Boston Celtics. Will he be his same old injury prone self in Boston? That's still to be answered, but right now it is a good signing for the Celtics.

He will start for them until Christmas or maybe even longer if Kendrick Perkins's rehab after surgery is not going well. O'Neal is a stretch at center, but they will take the risk.

O'Neal is not the same dominant force he was with Indiana many years ago, but if he fits in the right system he could have a revival of his career. Boston fits that system he could thrive in.

He will have Rajon Rondo who is one of the best passing point guards in the NBA. Then. you have the original big three of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. This is actually a great situation for Jermaine O'Neal roster wise.

This also gives Jermaine O'Neal the best chance to win a title out of all the teams interested in him. People think last year was Boston's last chance at a title, I don't agree with that at all.

The Eastern Conference now is better then the Western Conference by how Free Agency panned out. Boston will have to go through Miami, Chicago, Orlando, and Atlanta to make it to the NBA Finals again next season. I think they can do it though. No one thought they could beat Cleveland last season, but they did it.

Their front court with Garnett and O'Neal will be old, but they can get it done in clutch moments. I say they have the second best front court in the Eastern Conference behind Miami. That might be a surprise to mostly everyone, but one thing that is underrated is team chemistry.

This Celtics team has a lot of chemistry and adding O'Neal shouldn't hurt them at all. Overall, when you add in Jermaine O'Neal as the Boston Celtics starting center, I expect some success from them next season.

This is Rajon Rondo's team now and don't be surprised if they shock the world and beat the Miami Heat in the playoffs next season. O'Neal though fits in perfectly in Boston and will be a key factor to their chances of winning an NBA championship.
