Ugh. Penn State (9-16, 1-12) won its first Big Ten game of the season 81-70 to crush Northwestern's (17-9, 6-8) NCAA Tournament hopes. It was like a bad version of groundhog day as one week after the debacle loss at Iowa, Northwestern failed to play any defense as five Penn State starters posted double-figures and Talor Battle was the lowest scoring of the five (tied at 10 pts).
