The last time the Heat and the Pistons met up, there was no Dwayne Wade, who was serving a one game suspension for a kick to Ramon Sessions. The Pistons took advantage of that absence, and came back from fifteen down after the first quarter to win the game 109-99. Now with Wade back, and home in south beach, the Heat look to knock of the Pistons for the fourth straight time at American Airlines Arena.

The Heat, winners of their last 3 games, need to play physical against a team, the Pistons, that ranks 8th in the league in rebounding. The Heat being 27th, when their points per game ranks 5th in the league. If they want to win this game they'll have to do something they do well, moving the ball. With Wade in the Line up this should come easier than then the last time the two team played where the Heat's leading assist man was Norris Cole with 5. The team as a whole rank 11th in the NBA in assists.

Detroit, winners of their last 6 of 10, will do what most teams do against the team who many consider the best in the league, and that is bring their best game against the Heat. In their last meeting the Pistons played a complete team game, where their leading scorer was the 6"0 Will Bynum, who coming off the bench, scored 25 and also added 10 assists. Defense also will need to be on tonight, and that can come easy when rookie Andre Drummond is on the court. Drummond, one of the top rookies in the league this year, makes the most of his 21.5 minutes per game. In the December 21st game, he recorded a 10 point 10 rebound game with 2 steals. Drummond also ranking near the top in the league with 1.62 blocks per game. His productivity of the bench could be the x-factor if the Pistons wish to win tonight. On a final note on the team, they are 4-15 on the road and will have to play a great game in every aspect to win.

Final Prediction: Pistons 104 Heat 99

This part of the article is biased as I am a huge pistons fan, and will be written from my point of view. The Pistons have shown that they can beat the Heat before and now they can show they can do it again. The Pistons will need to play more than good defense and equal the Heat on offense, which might sound hard to do. But creating shots and winning the battle down low is something they have to young talent to do. Yes it will upset and some might look at this as a bad prediction but with a strong game they Pistons can pull this one out.
