At first, for those who attend the Qualis, it's all about getting into the tournament and for the Main Draw players, getting ready for the event. But by the 5th day, we've seen most of the combatants already for two matches and the engine for the event starts churning with the unknown or little-known players standing out. So far, still alive, the tournament has revolved around Victor Estrella Burgos, a 34-year-old journeyman, built like a jockey, who responds to his fellow Dominicans chanting and clapping and yelling "Vamos" at him.
