The shakeup has started.
Last night after Team USA won the bronze I told my buddy don't be surprised if the Hawks make some moves to free up space for youngsters Nick Leddy and Jeremy Morin. I didn't expect it to be this fast.
The Hawks assigned defenseman Jassen Cullimore to Rockford on Thursday.
Cullimore who has eight points on eight assists and a +4 in 36 games this year had been put on waivers before the trade freeze back in December. It is interesting that his former line partner Nick Boyton had been a healthy scratch the last two games.
Leddy has not been called up yet nor has any other move been made to fill Cullimore's roster spot.
I guess now we wait for the other shoe to drop but one thing I want to stay the same is Jordan Hendry playing defense. I think he has played pretty well the past few games and has looked faster.
