Last year at this time, nobody anticipated Jared Crick would play like he did in the 2009 season. A few thought he would only have a little competition for the number one spot next to Ndamukong Suh. But we were mostly wondering if any other players would step up, not just Defensive linemen, to take some pressure off of Suh. What we didn't realize was that Crick had the ability to make the type of impact season he had possible, and now hopes are high for a potentially dominating season in 2010. He helped make it possible for Suh to be a force. While there may be more pressure on Baker Steinkuhler to make an impact, his background points to the possibility of a breakout season, and that he could help Crick become a major player in the Big 12.
