The day I have feared since he joined the Bulls might be upon us.
I knew it would come just like I knew that he would make the team out of camp.
Taj Gibson missed practice on Monday with a pinched nerve in his right foot therefore head coach Tom Thibodeau has two choices:
1. start rookie Omer Asik or how I like to refer him to as The Turk or how Joakim Noah refers to him as "his" rookie.
2. start the red headed step child Brian Scalabrine
Man I can't wait for Carlos Boozer to get in the lineup.
For Gibson the injury couldn't come at a worse time. After two awful games to start the roadtrip he exploded for 17 points and 18 rebound in game three in Dallas.
I would like to purpose a third choice if Taj is unable to go, start Ronnie Brewer at small forward and let Luol Deng start at the 4 where he will be mostly guarding Lamar Odom. If coach Thibs decides to start Scalabrine or Omer it will most likely lead to early foul trouble to either player. Let's be honest the mismtach Odom presents will probably lead to Taj being in foul trouble and seeing Deng matched up on Odom anyway.
This game presents a nice challenge for the Bulls on Tuesday to see how they matchup against the best, I can't wait to see Rose vs Kobe and Noah vs Gasol. Game tips off at 9:30 central time and starts the Bulls stretch of 4 games in 5 days. If they split I will view it as a great success.
