The season has come to an end and the NFL has crowned its champion. The New Orleans Saints won their first league championship playing high risk, high reward playing only to win football. I didn't pick the Saints to win, but I was impressed with how they did it.
As I said in my Super Bowl prediction post I couldn't find much to root for or cheer against with either squad so the only thing riding on the game for me was my prediction here at Touchdown Dance. The outcome neither excited me or disappointed me, but I did find the game entertaining. Not the best played game I ever seen, but a good watch none the less.
Drew Brees outplayed my once top of the list quarterbacks ever (who will now slide back for the time being) paired with the gutsy playcalling and decision making of Sean Payton makes me jealous that he isn't the coach of my favorite NFL squad. Neither defense played especially well except for the fact that Saints (CB) Tracy Porter got lucky on a route jumping gamble that paved the way for a game clinching touchdown.
Now that the 09/10 season has been completed it is time to fill the football viewing void and replace it with the upcoming NFL meat market we like to call the NFL draft. As I mentioned above I will also be arranging my "Best I Ever Seen" NFL players list by position in the near future also. Peyton Manning slipped and fell after last night's performance.
